We Keep "Making Disciples" in our CROSS hairs: That is our AIM, that is our TARGET and that is our SCOPE.
Matthew 28:18 "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go there for and MAKE DISCIPLES of all nations, baptizing them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold I am with you always to the end of the age." JESUS CHRIST. Jesus came to seek and save that which is lost. Luke 19:10. This logo represents everything we are trying to do. We try to put people in the "cross" hairs, take careful aim intentionally looking for some one to talk to about Jesus, with the "target" being a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our "Scope" is focused on the extremely important task of Making Disciples of Jesus Christ. Too many people make the mistake of thinking that God is in control of this entire process therefore all we need to do is be good people and the rest will just work out. Jesus commanded us to Make Disciples... so as His servants, that is what we do!
Inviting people to a dinner is not that complicated....but it is commanded!
"GO out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring the poor, and crippled and blind and lame. And the servant said, Sir what you have commanded we have done, and there is still room. And the Master said to the servant. "GO out to the highways and hedges and compel the people to come in that my house may be filled." For those of us in the Bible Reading Campaign Luke 14:15-24 is one of our most important passages. We take it literally and believe it applies as much today as it did when Jesus gave the command. If you have some free time read this entire passage and then sit down and ask yourself: "Am I the one making excuses or am I the one making disciples?" We are given this extremely important task ...pray we will be faithful to the Lord in handing out these invitations to people who do not know -Jesus Christ and have not received their invitation to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. The chairs are empty , food is hot , paid for, and plentiful... The Master is Angry and His servants are...doing what?
Religion or Relationship? That is the question that will determine your eternal place of torment or rest.
We love assisting in God's plan of turning people whom are tired of cold, empty religion into people who begin to have a passion for serving our Lord Jesus Christ. We are addicted to seeing the Holy Spirit transform these people right in our presence and under our watch. Over time watching them share the same burning desire to see others also come into a saving relationship with God the same way they did. This all by God's grace knowing their sins have been forgiven, forever, through their faith in death of God's Son-Jesus Christ. He did this as complete payment for their sins debt. The resurrection of Jesus Christ assures them that God has better things in store for people who love and obey Him... far more than when they followed man made rules and rituals and had no hope in this life and fore sure not the next one.
Time is not on our side: "The 3650 Experiment coming to a place near you.... if your lost!"
An effort to focus on the "personal discipleship" of another believer as commanded by our Lord, and also the endless effort to reach the lost people by doing "intentional evangelism" through a specific model that is focused on the transformation of an entire city. This is done through any kingdom minded church that wants to use small groups to do big things. In this experiment we are building a network of disciples that cover the next 10 years or 3650 days. Our goal is to present the Gospel, "directly from the pages of the Bible" to 36,500 people while at the same time training 72 disciples. They will learn what it takes to multiply small groups as the Spirit leads them who will in the Lord's timing transform these small groups into churches expanding the Kingdom of God on earth. The entire experiment is based on expectation and patience seeing what God MIGHT do with us through faith in HIM, in a way that would not have happened if we had chosen to just stay in our churches and in our comfort zones. The eagle represents salvation from Exodus 19:4 "I bore you on eagle's wings and brought you to myself.
